Two recent emails from "Amazon" Does anybody know what the Flipping DooDah this is about? I have not clicked on any link yet, although on mouseover they appear to go to where they say they go to. I don't think I have changed my password recently. And if I have, I can't remember doing it and I don't know what it is!  Keychain knows what it is, but it is not any help! Any advice would be gratefully received!  Now I can't sign in because I've got the wrong email address!  Now I can't email them to ask them to reset my password because my email address has changed!

I would try ‘Write my own mesage’, explain what has happened and give them a phone number to ring.

You could try phoning them, but also bear in mind that those original emails may be scammers?

Yep, thanks I will just contact Amazon as Jonah says and see where that goes. Something fishy going on there but I have no idea what or why. What's to gain by doing this? Anyway I'll contact them.

Phoned them just now on the 0808 number they provide and gave the information - it will be passed to their investigation team and I will hear back soon. I guess they'll be able to sort it out without difficulty.

Do you have any cards associated with that account? It might be worth asking the bank to stop any Amazon transactions for the time being.

I have a card linked to my account, and when I buy something have to jump through several hoops, including verifying I am who I say I am, reviewing my order, choosing method of posting, then Confirm purchase - it's extremely unlikely I'm going to buy anything accidentally!

That's why I don't appear to be overly concerned about somebody getting into my account. Because I don't think they can buy anything using my card unless they know a lot more about it. There's a lot of verification that goes on before you buy something.
