I just found iOS 11.2 update is out.
Looking forward to seeing how much faster wireless charging will be.

Installed iOS 11.2 on both iPhone 6s and iPad Air. On the iPhone 6s, I’ve got the new TV app that has replaced the old Videos app and collates all your separate TV and video apps into one handy place. Looks like something I will use a lot.
However, on the iPad Air, I’ve still got the Videos app and there’s no new TV app. Can anyone suggest why?
Both devices report they’re on the same build of iOS 11.2 (15C114).

You can download it direct from the App Store.

The TV app appeared on my Apple TV this morning after having TVOS 11.2 for a few days, along with BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub and My5 (I think they are called). I didn't install any of them and I don't need them. They might go or get dropped into group.

OK, I manually downloaded the Apple TV app on the iPad Air, still got the Videos app even after a restart but, hey, I never used that anyway so I’ve hidden it away in a folder.
Bit odd that the iPhone got it installed with iOS 11.2 and the iPad didn’t but never mind, all’s well now. Thanks everyone.

I have to admit, the TV app is working pretty well. Still no UKTV (so no Taskmaster) and plenty of random error messages, but it's actually made my AppleTV useful again.

Didn't Videos go in iOS 10.2? I know I don't have it now and never used it, so I didn't notice.

Is there a technical reason you want to keep the Videos app or is it just because you are used to it? I hate change for the sake of it but the TV app has found my iTunes video library (one freebie Apple gave us all).

Doesn't bother me. Didn't use the videos app and not expecting to use TV app either in the near future.
