Dark Sky updated the other day. The complication used to show the current outside temperature. Now it just shows a cloud symbol. How annoying. That isn't what I want.

I'm not impressed by the iOS update either. It has been updated again just days after the other. It didn't sort my gripe. I'll give it to the weekend, just in case it clicks in, then drop it from my Watch if it remains non-functional.

I see Dark Sky got an update to allow the watch to show conditions and temperature in the complication. Good in theory. I re-installed it on the iPhone and Watch. Despite being 'complicated' it doesn't actually show anything except briefly when tapped when it takes me to a blank app. What a total failure. I'll leave it as I'm hoping they'll fix the fix soon. I sent DarkSky an email critique.

I had an email back from the Dark Sky lot. They will look into it. I have, for my part, already tried turning the stuff off and on again as that can sort glitches.

Why are bedside "charging stands" so expensive? I just read a best-of review summary. I stuck the boxed charger sideways onto something with blu-tac type stuff. It does the job. I'd have a decent looking charge stand, but not at those prices.

I have one of these stands
- Amazon link
You use the supplied charging cord but it's inexpensive, does the job well and small.

I have looked at a few similar to that. Some need sticking down so they are out. Some don't stay in place so they are out. Then i think £10 for a wee bit of plastic? That's why I went and stuck with the tac route.

I looked again on Amazon. There are some cheap ones like the one linked. The problem is that I'm a grumpy old git who will only buy if Amazon is the actual seller, not fulfiller. There's also the problem of mixed reviews like 'watch falls off', 'watch stays on, 'won't take 44mm', 'my 44mm stays on'. Was Amazon the seller, being under £10, they'd do a refund and let you keep it if it was unsuitable for purpose.

Fair enough. I have Prime so I don't have that annoyance. Free P&P and TV. It depends how much you buy as to whether you consider £79 (equates to £6.58 pm) to be value. I buy a lot and use the TV offering. If you place less than 17 orders a year then you will be a few pounds in pocket paying for each.
