I watched Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri which was very good and some great performance in it and also saw the Spike Lee BlaKkKlansman. Both films were top quality movies.
There really are some very talented writers, producers and film makers about.

More wholesome fun from the people who made Iron Sky - a Swissploitation flick: https://madheidi.com/

I have never seen "This is Spinal Tap". I'm correcting the situation right now - accompanied by a bottle of Jack.

I agree. It wasn't as great as people say.
I would have tried that link except no Google owned sites will work for me any more in either regular or private browsing mode, which used to be the workaround. I refuse to agree to them snooping at cookies etc and I certainly have no account with them to log in (which is a whole other issue with Emma mattresses but irrelevant here). Searching is unaffected as I am a DDG user. Thinks: I could try downloading the video.
--edit-- I did that. Comic Strip, eh. Ade can actually play well. The Bad Shepherds are quite good.

A "duh" moment.... Thinks - what's DDG? Guess where DuckDuckGo took me...

"Ash vs Evil Dead"
Although not a film in terms of this thread, I'm really enjoying this foulmouthed but very funny gorefest on Netflix which brings the original 1981 Evil Dead film into the present day. Bruce Campbell looks like he enjoyed himself enormously making it while Lucy Lawless plays her role dead poker-faced. If you're into this stuff...

I finally watched "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri".
It was worthwhile and better than I thought it would be.

Wonder Woman 1984.
What a heap of steaming - er - rubbish. DC don't come up to Marvel standards by a long distance.

Films watched because they were there at that moment.... on BBC1 - OK when you're too tired/lazy to push a button and go on surfing... On iPlayer for 28 days. , also BBC1 - still a very moving story about WW2 convoys trying to dodge the U-boats. B&W actually adds to the atmosphere. And it certainly helps that it is not interrupted by ads. On iPlayer for 29 days. And (yes there should be an apostrophe there...) on ITV, with Hugh Grant and Sandra Bullock. Lots of nonsense as Hugh is, well Hugh.... Some good laugh-out-loud lines. Better than anticipated. Available on iTunes. Be interesting to hear what others have ended up watching without intending to
