Has been released today - somewhere in the world. Stay where you are until it gets to you, or start that road-trip you've been postponing.

Yes. 18:00 BST for me... and the other OSs. I'm hoping it fixes some things 14.7 broke but I'm sure something else will get - er - adjusted adversely.

I never install a .0 OS version immediately upon release. I wait until loughor tells me that it is safe to do so - and won't brick my phone.

I'd not dare tell you anything but yeah I am an early adopter and if all goes to plan, I will report back.

According to Software Update, I am due for 14.8 on iPad, so it's not here yet...

Yep - Phone and Pad done. Watch on the go.
They have changed the iPad Home screen without a by your leave but I expect I can get things back as I want them. Or you'll hear me cussing in space.
--edit-- Kind of sorted. We've lost the left side widgets that I liked and you have to have then across the top, which I do not want as it takes up space for apps. I had to lose widgets and now they are "off stage". I'm also not keen on the app group thing they stuck on the menu bar to match the iPhone last screen but as I can't kill it I'll have to get used to it. I'll probably love it in time.

HomePod update too. I know it is iOS but it doesn't always sync with iPhone versions.
--edit-- Seems the Watch is now unlocking with the Phone (quick test). Hope it continues.

^ Keep trying.
Now I have had time to look at iPadOS I did remove the annoying (to me) App Library from the dock. Just a switch in settings. It is still there as per iPhone swipes if I want it. Since it was introduced, I have never wanted or used it as I don't have or use a mass of apps.

App Library is something I’ve never used and am not likely to. It’s a waste of a screen. Apple seem to group random apps together.

Another moan (yes I do a lot). On the Watch, Timer - why tinker with the layout? It has been perfectly OK for years and now they put the recent timers at the top, not bottom. Then mixed in the presets with my three customs if used. It is all over the place now. Also made the stop and reset areas smaller, or so it appears.
I use Timer a lot for cooking etc. so had everything set up. Not so now.
--edit-- One more thing. The numerals on my selected Watch face (California) have increased in size. I do not like it looking like a toy watch when before, I thought it was just right. I might have to trawl through the gallery again but most in there are not for me.
