A few weeks ago I installed O.S. 17.3 on my iPhone 13 Pro which I was pleased to do, largely because I think that S.D.P. is a great idea. However, not on my phone it seems. I have no such option as "Face ID & Passcode" in my Settings. A Search produces lots of Face ID suggestions, but not this one.
I thought SDP was available for the iPhone X onwards (but not the 13 Pro?).
Suggestions please...
Thanks.

Yes it does support this, as you know.
I DuckDuckGo'd and several results said:
If you or someone else with access to your device has enabled Restrictions, it may be preventing you from accessing the Face ID and Passcode options. To check if Restrictions are enabled, go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions. If Restrictions are enabled, you will need to enter the passcode to access the options.
A good place to start, maybe.

Thanks Tony,
But even this supposedly definitive Apple article does not mention the 'Restrictions' problem. Shame on them!

Jackpot Tony! Thank you.
No commentators (MacWorld etc) mention that. I've left Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions Off now, assuming that SDP keeps my phone safe. My bet is that many owners are frustrated by the lack of SDP, not knowing this, and Apple doesn't mention it.
Thanks again.
